"The world had suddenly become an alien and frightening place."
- Raymond Feist, Faerie Tale
The human race lives in ignorance, ignorance not only of the potential of
its mind and body, but also of the secret places of this planet, and of
the untapped power that flows crackling through the bones of the earth.
Few people indeed are ever confronted with the primal fear of legends
suddenly come alive, and those who survive seldom speak of their
experiences. Thus, the old tales of magic and monsters remain quaint
relics of an uncivilized past, and ghosts and night terrors are
relegated to stories around the campfire. As the older, more
superstitious generations die off, the old lore is forgotten, and
soon, nothing but blissful ignorance will remain.
"The most merciful thing in the world, I think, is the inability of
the human mind to correlate its contents. We live on a placid island
of ignorance in the midst of black seas of infinity, and it was not
meant that we should voyage far."
- H. P. Lovecraft,
"The Call of Cthulhu"
And yet, sometimes the evidence we are confronted with is irrefutable,
and the human mind is forced to AWAKEN from its sleep of
ignorance and confront the new, revealed truths of this world. Evil is
real, but so is good. God yet lives, but so does the Devil. Fiends,
angels, and other magical beings of this world and others are
constantly at war over the world -- and every human soul. Many are
driven mad by this knowledge, but others master it just as they
prepare to master their new world.
Awaken, and see the truth . . .
Ok this is where I will be putting site news.
Anything that's new, different or that I just feel like putting here will go here.
I think that I should try making some graphics, like a divider to go on this page. It should probably be made to include dates and times. I'm thinking blue or green. But maybe a color from the sunrise will work better. We'll see what happens.
I have to make sure that every page goes longer than one full screen, or the white on the right will not be long enough to get to the bottom of the screen, and nobody will see the watermark.
The Right Side
Maybe I could put some stuff on the right, in the white table? How about links to other sites, like other RPG's or just cool sites. Maybe even the sites we ripped some of the pictures off from. ;-)
I guess that to balance out the bottom of the page, I should put some more links down there. I'm not sure which links though, maybe I should go check out some other sites.
